More UK law firms are capitalising on Crescendo Digital Dictation
Successful DigiScribe-XL 4.0 rollouts for KJ Commons Solicitors and JSP Solicitors
Sunbury-on-Thames, February 14, 2008 - Crescendo announced today that KJ Commons Solicitors and JSP Solicitors have completed the implementation of DigiScribe-XL 4.0, the latest version of Crescendo's renowned digital dictation and workflow management system.
Following a successful pilot of Crescendo's Digital Dictation Solution in their Workington head office, KJ Commons Solicitors, one of the largest crime solicitors in the northwest, have rolled out DigiScribe-XL across all three offices in Workington, Whitehaven and Carlisle.
Deployed across their local area network and remote offices via Citrix, the solution comprising of desktop and mobile dictation allows fee earners to dictate in real-time from virtually any location whether they are in their own office, one of the branches, in court or even at home. They no longer have to return to the office with a pile of tapes for the secretaries to wade through.
Secretaries, on the other hand, can transcribe work generated by any fee earner from any office, thus maximising efficiency and making best use of the resources available. Dictations submitted by the fee earners are immediately available for transcription, eliminating peaks and troughs in the work load, with priority work being easily identified and completed in a timely manner.
JSP Solicitors, a multi-practice law firm, also recently rolled out DigiScribe-XL in their Skegness office. The firm selected Crescendo after having evaluated other vendors, for the flexibility and functionality offered by their technology. Crescendo's unique IP streaming technology ensures the security and delivery of dictations by recording directly to a central voice depository rather than creating a local voice file then copying it to the server. This also minimises impact on network traffic which copying large voice files can cause. Another deciding factor in the decision making process was the ease of use of DigiScribe-XL. Fee earners were using the system live after only 15 minutes of training, some even started before they were trained, the firm reports.
