Launch of DigiDictate-IP and DigiPlayer-IP 4.0
New graphical user interface improves dictation and transcription experience
Laval, February 9, 2007 - Crescendo today announced the launch of the 4.0 version of its DigiDictate-IP and DigiPlayer-IP PC dictation and voice playback applications. Both products now offer a brand new, highly intuitive user interface that reflects the current Microsoft look and feel. "This new interface further improves the dictation and transcription experience for healthcare and legal professionals by providing easy access to work lists, folders and routing groups and offering advanced customization and search features," explains Costa Mandilaras, President, Crescendo Systems Corporation.
New VoiceBar
The new, dockable VoiceBar offers quick access to media and application commands in floating, fading or hidden mode, interacting with other applications to ensure that dictation information is always available to users.
On the author side (DigiDictate-IP)
The new tree view displays the different categories of work, including in progress, draft, pending and completed jobs. The new drag and drop feature allows you to quickly re-route work to other secretaries in order to speed up turnaround.
Under the My Work pane, the user views dictations that are "In Progress", "Drafts" or "Completed" while the work for the different routing groups appears under "Pending". A new field, "Due By" is supported in a date and time format, providing options like Today, Tomorrow, This week, Next Week and Custom. The Author can also insert stop markers so that when a transcriptionist/secretary jumps to the markers, only the appropriate voice portion will be played. Once a report is complete, the author can review the document by selecting the job from his Work Pane.
On the transcriptionist/secretary side (DigiPlayer-IP)
Work can be easily searched by author, priority or "Due by" date to quickly see jobs that require urgent attention. Re-routing work to colleagues has never been so easy thanks to the new drag and drop feature; so is setting "Due by" dates, which can be completed by selecting the appropriate date on the Calendar.
Workflow management and thin-client support
DigiDictate-IP and DigiPlayer-IP 4.0 will continue to offer the same, advanced level of workflow automation as was offered in their previous versions, and which largely contributed to build their market momentum. Furthermore, like all other Crescendo products, DigiDictate-IP and DigiPlayer-IP 4.0 support the Citrix Presentation ServerTM 3.5 and later versions and thin-client terminals such as Wyse Windows Terminals.
DigiDictate-IP and DigiPlayer-IP 4.0 will be available in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, China, South Africa and the Netherlands from Februrary 12, 2006. Existing customers can easily upgrade their current solutions.
