Crescendo inaugurates its new head office in Laval
Laval, September 25, 2006 - Crescendo Systems, a beacon company of the Laval e-POLE, today celebrated the official inauguration of its head office in the presence of its customers and business and government partners. Located on a 24,000-square-metre lot in Chomedey, the $4-million building has 2,500 square metres of office space, enough to allow the company to continue growing and conduct its R&D and marketing activities for several years.
Crescendo specializes in digital dictation, speech recognition, transcription, authentication and management systems for the medical, legal, law enforcement and insurance sectors. Developed through the most rigorous research and development programs, Crescendo software is constantly evolving to ensure it responds to the creation and management needs of its 200,000 professional users. Among Crescendo's innovations are MedRite-XL (first Windows-based transcription solution), DigiScribe-XL (first real-time, network digital dictation and transcription solution), and a voice recognition module specifically developed for the Quebec medical sector (unique technology created in partnership with Philips).
This dynamic approach has allowed Crescendo to grow rapidly and expand to markets abroad. The company opened an office in the United Kingdom in 2003 and another in Toronto in 2005, while continuing to maintain a strong foothold in the American and Quebec markets. The company has a solid worldwide distribution network, one that was further expanded in 2006 with the signature of three new agreements in South Africa, China and the Netherlands.
According to Crescendo's President and Co-founder, Costa Mandilaras, the company anticipates considerable growth over the coming five years. "Our products are becoming increasingly recognized, and we have made solid technological advances in the niches where we specialize," he explained.
