CSSS Pierre-Boucher selects Crescendo to modernize their document management processes

Laval, Québec, September 18, 2009 – Crescendo Systems Corporation, leader in the fields of digital dictation, transcription and voice recognition, is proud to announce the signing of a major contract with the Centre de santé et de services sociaux Pierre-Boucher. Following a comprehensive tendering process which took place in May 2009, the CSSS Pierre-Boucher, part of the network of the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de la Montérégie and the Réseau Universitaire Intégré de Santé (RUIS) Montréal-McGill, has chosen Crescendo for the integration of a complete digital dictation and transcription system for its hospital-wide services.

The large-scale deployment of the system was carried out according to a strict timeline with the go-live taking place at the end of June 2009. This fall, voice recognition will be an integral part of the Radiology department and by the end of the year, two other departments will also benefit from this solution.

Crescendo’s entire software suite is available in French and works with the Citrix© environment. This is particularly useful for telecommuters who need to access the voice recognition and digital dictation system from remote sites. Furthermore, network administrators can easily manage the system via the central server, without having to interrupt the user, since the application files are never stored on the client workstation. The system will also offer PACS AGFA integration in radiology.

According to Mr. Pierre-Martin Tardif, CIO of the CSSS Pierre-Boucher: “The system proved itself to be very reliable and extremely stable from the get-go”.

Mr. Costa Mandilaras, President of Crescendo Systems Corporation adds: “The Crescendo family, whose growing ranks include more than 60 clients from the medical field throughout the province of Quebec, would like to welcome the CSSS Pierre Boucher. We are proud to forge a partnership with the CSSS Pierre Boucher and look forward to helping them improve their user experience when it comes to the creation and management of clinical documentation. As a result, their patients will have access to better services as the health and social services center’s staff will now be able to dedicate more time to them”.
