The dictation screen was designed to eliminate difficulty in selecting buttons and controlling the flow of dictation. All dictation functions are available (record, play, rewind, forward, record over, insert, and delete voice portion) from the interface. Furthermore, a progress bar informs the user of how far along he is in the dictation. Likewise, preferred dictation controls can be selected. Several options are available once the dictation is complete such as: sign off, discard, suspend or mark as priority. Finally, depending on the user’s configuration for e-mail and cell use as well as the availability of WiFi, WiMax or Cellular at the time of completion, the file will be uploaded to their central server.

DigiDictate-Mobile enables institutions to protect confidential information and use the same security standards applicable to their facility’s technology infrastructure. Secure connection is an option and, when used, no data or scheduled lists are stored on the mobile device when it is disconnected from the network. This ensures against a confidentiality breach should the mobile device be lost, stolen or left unattended.
