Senior Accounting Representative

A world leader in document creation, management and speech processing is seeking to further strengthen its worldwide position and is looking for a dynamic individual to provide leadership and coordination of the company’s financial planning, debt financing and budget management function. Furthermore, this person will ensure that the company’s accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(Other duties may also be assigned.)
- Direct and coordinate the company’s financial planning and budget management functions.
- Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies.
- Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.
- Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
- Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Knowledge and Skill Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
- Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills in French and English.
- Five to ten years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
